Medical and nutritional experts at Eye Science recently developed a new product focused on overall eye health and protection. When it came time to announce this new medical breakthrough to the masses – they turned to Coexist.

Recent studies show that age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a progressive eye condition affecting as many as 15 million Americans and it is the leading cause of blindness in the US for people over 50. Eye Science needed to create an online experience to launch and ultimately sell their new AMD targeted product while simultaneously establishing the leading digital destination / informational hub related to education and information concerning overall eye health.
Execution
Catering to an online demographic from young adults to site-challenged senior citizens — Coexist created the EyeScience.com website to be fully customizable, allowing the user to choose the exact font size for screen text that they were most comfortable with. In order to gain the trust of future customers, a heavy emphasis was placed on sharing eye health information for free. Everything from online vision tests to medical videos to an “Ask the Doctor” section is presented at the forefront of this online experience before leading customers to the online store to actually purchase the Eye Science product.
Results
Online sales for Eye Science products continue to increase with recent results showing that a large percentage of customers have signed up and entered billing info for automatic product refills on a recurring basis throughout the year. The “Ask a Doctor” functionality and social interaction with Eye Science customers has led to multiple new product extensions.
Buyers from the national drugstore chain CVS were so impressed with the EyeScience.com website, overall story/experience and related product launch that they are now carrying this product line in over 6,900 retail stores throughout the country.
