A Quick Refresh in NYC

It’s always beneficial to tap NYC for some fresh inspiration.
Making the most of a quick weekend getaway – I always find comfort in the amazing street art across the city, but this time, a more formal exhibition created the spark that I was looking for.
Luckily, due to my wife’s beautiful knack for planning ahead – we booked tickets to see the Tim Burton exhibit at MOMA several weeks ago. This brilliant act let us jump in front of the hundreds of people huddled outside in line amongst the smell of hot nuts cutting threw the garbage tainted breeze.
I had no idea how extensive Burton’s archive of work was. From drawing to photography to painting to movie directing – his unique approach cuts across a plethora of mediums all the while staying true to the Tim Burton aesthetic. From Pee Wee Herman to the new Alice In Wonderland 3D Movie coming soon – a studious glance at Burton’s timeline of achievements and I feel the urgent need to go create something new.
