Coexist is proud to announce that recent efforts for Local Matters’ first-ever Local Foods Week have proven to be an overwhelming success. Coexist volunteered to head up the inaugural event’s branding efforts this year in addition to sitting on the not-for-profit organization’s steering committee. 

Why Local Matters? When you discover that less than 1% of the food grown in Ohio stays in Ohio – it’s time for a change. When you learn that most local communities in Franklin County lack access to local, fresh, healthy food….someone needs to spread the word. Truly spreading the word means getting involved and that’s just what Coexist did.

Coexist joined a veritable who’s who of Columbus business leaders sitting on the Local Foods Week Steering Committee. The combined efforts of this team (reaching/impacting close to 25,000 new advocates for this cause) supports the notion that passionate individuals volunteering and collaborating for a common good can do amazing things.
